Hey folks,
In a case you are encountering the following errors when running ADMT (Active Directory Migration tool):
- Valid on Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2016.
ERR2:7711 Unable to retrieve the DNS hostname for the migrated computer
ERR3:7075 Failed to Change Domain Affiliation – ADMT Migration
Please ensure you have enabled the following things:
1) In the new server open “Registry” and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
Create a new “Multi-String” and name it “NullSessionPipes” and then add the following values:
LSARPC
Netlogon
browser
same
2) Open the Group policy and Enable the following Policy on both AD sites:
Navigate to “Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Net Logon >
“Allow cryptography algorithms compatible with Windows NT4.0”
