How to fix “Active Manager Failed To Mount Database”

Problem: Activity Manager is not able to mount the database and the public folder database correctly.

Error:

Active Manager failed to mount database MailStore 01 on server {Server-name}. Error: An Active Manager operation failed with a transient error. Please retry the operation. Error: Database action failed with transient error. Error: A transient error occurred during a database operation. Error: MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make admin interface connection to server. (hr=0x80040115, ec=-2147221227).

Active Manager is a DAG component which is responsible for deciding which database is Active and Passive. The Active Manager runs on each Mailbox server as a service. In addition, we have “Active Manager Client” which runs on all CAS and Hub Servers, this role communicates with PAM and SAM.Primary Active Manager and Secondary Active Manager – PAM could be only 1 and the others are SAM. PAM called ” Bestcopyselection ” if one server was corrupted the PAM starts the calculation process and decides which server is the best selection for mounting the DB.

The Solution that helped me out is:

  1. Open ncpa.cpl on the server.
  2. Go to Settings and click Properties on the server.
  3. Make sure “Internet Protocol Version IPv6” is enabled.
